A number of students have commented that Heat is a “good book.” Why did you like the book? Could someone write a sentence or two to tell Olivia about the plot?

  • 24.    cathpott  |  October 24th, 2007 at 4:42 pm

    TMoe,

Have you read The Lightning Thief too? What was your favorite part in The Titan’s Curse? We have The Sea of Monsters in the library if you want to check it out.

  • 26.    cathpott  |  October 24th, 2007 at 4:46 pm

It sounds like you really enjoyed The Penderwicks. Which of the sisters was your favorite character?

    What are you reading now?

  • 27.    cathpott  |  October 24th, 2007 at 4:49 pm

    Lauren,

You did an excellent job of summarizing Blubber in a few sentences. That is one of my favorite Judy Blume books.

If you enjoy Judy Blume’s books, you might like Rules by Cynthia Lord or Summer of the Swans by Betsy Byars.

  • 28.    cathpott  |  October 24th, 2007 at 5:00 pm

I think a good book for girly girls is Drama Queen! It is about a girl who trys out for the school play but the mean girl in schoo Amberl is being a pain! She in messing up her costume and saying rude comments! Amber is also trying to sing really loud and it sounds REALLY bad! Will she sound good in the show or will the schools play stink?
To find out read the book.

    P.S. Hi Kyndra :)
